Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs host Mike Rowe.  The man travels around the country doing the most disgusting jobs you can imagine - sewer inspector, roadkill remover, pigeon s**t cleaner, etc, etc.  He’ll be on the show covered in I don’t even want to know what, and all I can think is, man, I want to get dirty with him!

I think his biggest appeal is his sense of humor, and the wonderful way he treats the people he works with.  And when he has to strip off his shirt for a job you won’t find me complaining......

I’m with you, Connie, and we’re definitely on the same page.  Rickman in DIE HARD, yum.  Laurie in SENSE AND SENSIBILITY, my gosh, his well-chosen, but rare, comments made me swoon.  I wondered, Hmmm, man of few words, but deep, deep well.  Let me dive in!

I think Bill Pullman is hot, whether it’s in WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING or the president in INDEPENDENCE DAY.  That husky voice and those eyes definitely does it for me.

Beth, I gotta agree...Mike Rowe does have a certain appeal to him, doesn’t he? smile

My addition to the secret lust list has to be Arnold Vosloo. In The mummy, he played someone who was evil, pure evil. Swarms of flies spewed forth out of his decaying mouth, and yet, there was something about him that sent shivers down my spine and yes, in a GOOD way. smile

That’s about all I can think of this early in the morning.

Toodle-ooo...HAGD all~~

I too found myself horrifyingly attracted to Hugh Laurie!  My god, it’s not like he’s even THAT good looking.  I think it’s those peircing dreamy eyes!  YUM!

My sister and I argue over this one:  Dermot Mulroney!  She doesn’t think he’s hot but man...his voice and that FACE! I watch “The Wedding Date” over and over again just to watch that scene where he stoops Debra Messing over the car!

One that comes quickly to mind is Mel Gibson in PAYBACK. The movie was written like many romances I’ve read, except he’s a bad guy. As his character Porter said, “You’d think after five months of lying on my back, I would have given up any idea of getting even, just be a nice guy and call it a day. Nice guys are fine: you have to have somebody to take advantage of… but they always finish last.”

We did a poll on one of my loops one time about sexy men and the ONE consistent name that made all of the loops was Alan Rickman!  (Adored him in TRULY, MADLY, DEEPLY and still find him strangely appealing as Snape in HARRY POTTER.)

The most fun thing about these guys is that other men totally don’t “get” it, which means they don’t always understand what women want.

Alan Rickman, most definitely...and it was when he was in Robin Hood (which I adored as a movie...but it came out when I was 16...so why wouldn’t I think that was wonderful?).  I adored him in Sense & Sensiblity though.  “Give me an occupation, or I shall go mad...”

And I do love Rowan Aktinson when he’s the Elizabethan and the 17/1800s version of Blackadder.  As the other versions of Blackadder...no.  *LOL* I don’t understand my attraction to him...but hey...who’s surprised?

Will Ferrell.  I just think he’d be a riot to be with...and there is something appealling about him.  Even when he’s in his tighty whities...screaming about Tom Cruise.

Jeff Goldblum.  Independence Day.  When they survive and land--and he’s walking across the desert.  OMG.  That is the sexiest walk I’ve ever seen!  He was rather sexy in Jurassic Park too.

Rickman is one of those I classify under weird sexy.  Loved him in Robin Hood.  Plus I like many of those already mentioned, especially Oded Fehr

Jason Issacs from The Patroit and plays Malfoy sr in the Harry Potter movies is another one for me.

Yet another is Alex Carter.  He used to appear fairly regularly as Det. Vartann on CSI and did a couple of episodes of JAG which is where I first sat up and took notice of him. He was playing a Navy SEAL. *drool*
There’s a picture of him on his IMDB page -

I, too, happen to like Alan Rickman.  I especially liked him in Sense & Sensibility, but love him as Snape in the HP movies.  I never saw Robin Hood, but might just to watch him.

As for Hugh Laurie, I noticed him first in the live action movie 101 Dalmations as Jasper.  He cracked me up!!  and his side kick Mark Williams as Horace, who now plays Mr. Weasley in the HP movies.

Hmmm, I’m right there with you all on Alan Rickman - he so totally stole the show in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. I still quote the ‘cut your heart out with a spoon line’. And I love Hugh Laurie.

I have two more to add. I’m not sure how many of you know the UK show Top Gear, but I’m a huge fan of Richard Hammond (yes, the presenter who had the big car accident a couple of months ago). He’s very cute smile

Also, Alan Alda as Captain Benjamin Franklin Pierce (Hawkeye). There was just something about him. I used to love MASH as a child (still do now) and used to say I was going to marry Hawkeye when I was old enough!

I seriously lust Rowan Atkinson in Blackadder II.  Wow.  Totally bad.  But very smart.  Num.  ‘Madam, life without you was like a broken pencil.  Pointless.’ *swoon*

If you haven’t seen Alan Rickman in Robin Hood you have no idea WHY he’s so darn hot.  You only think you do.  smile

how about..Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin, James Marsters, David Duchovny, definitely Jeff Goldblum-he’s got such a great walk, and I still adore Michael Palin-another guy with great eyes.

Okay, yes I have a thing for British men..but they just seem so much..smarter than their American counterparts and I need a lot of smart in my men.  smile

Jeff goldbloom...... what can I say? i loved his whole brainy, I-saved-the-world-just-for-you attitude in ‘Independance Day’.

PS- who thinks of these code words and numbers? They are getting more and more lurid, lol.

brownone - I think you’re right about the eyes. He has that puppy dog look about him.  With his humor and charms he makes one tempting package.

People should check him out in the movie Devdas(but make sure you have LOTS of tissue) and in Main Hoon Naa.

I want to add another to my list of unexpected heartthrobs...Jim Carrey as Count Olaf.  I think it’s the clothes.

Oded Fehr, most definately! God, he was so sexy in the Mummy!

And Hugh Laurie, yes. I must agree on him as well. ^_^

I suppose that david conrad from ghost whisperer isn’t exactly and unexpected heartthrob.......but he is absolutely yummy and i couldn’t help but bring him up! If you google-image him you would understand!
