Welcome, Matthew.  What a wonderful birthday gift for your wife.  I chuckled and smiled through the entire post, until I reached the last line.  When I read “and the woman I hope my daughters become” the tears started to flow.  What a lovely, and loving, tribute to your beloved Andrea.

Thank Eloisa and the other Squawk ladies for loaning us some space and thank you all for the birthday wishes. This is the big 4-0 and I am not feeling so bad right now. I am feeling loved and thankful for all my joys and blessings.

Thank you everyone! I just keep reading Matthew’s post and sobbing! He very often leaves me notes and expresses his love in so many ways but this is AMAZING. But oh that 80s picture!

Teresa I had no idea! I won’t say how much time I spend here at Squawk but when I got an email from Eloisa this morning giving me the Squawk “command” to come over this morning I thought that is strange. I just have to get the kids out the door and this is the first place I come. Anyway over I came and what do I see but that picture of us that has been packed in a box since we moved in to our house 8 years ago!

Christina I did receive a wondeful gift from my DH, a beautiful ring he designed with the 4 birthstones of our children and their names engraved on the band. And I know there are more gifts because my 5 year twins have been busting to tell me what they have wrapped. Unfortunately we are waiting until we are all home together to open presents.
