Sounds great, Liz! Now i can buy cookbooks which I don’t need and an album that I shouldn’t get because I have so many already… Anybody listen to Michael Buble?
Hi Liz,
Sounds like you’re trying to have a relaxing day.
I plan to share this blog with my hubby. He is a jazz fan in every way. I’m sure he has never heard of Elaine, but he treasures new finds.
Have a great day.
The music sounds great and I will definitely look for it.
But as a child of the Sixties myself may I make one comment, please?
The pants were/are PEDAL-pushers because they were for riding bikes without getting your pantleg caught in the chain.
And BTW, Capris were skinny legged pants like Mary Tyler Moore wore on the Dick Van Dyke show.
Don’t mean to sound snarky- just something to get off my chest.
Leslie
Christina,
I love Michael Buble ever since I saw the 60 minutes special on him a few years ago. I have 3 of his cd’s. They make me think of Frank Sinatra and that era.

Liz I sure wish I knew as much about music as you do. You have told us about some fantastic musicians.
Sorry to be checking in late--we’ve declared Sundays in our home computer-free, since we were all getting addicted to it, so I now write the music blogs on Saturday and post-date them, and I won’t be able to comment ‘til Monday.
Sarah, I love that assessment of Brazilian music. Very true. And yes! I did get the CD the other day and have listened to the first half. I LOVE it! (And will be e-mailing you today...)
You’ll love it, Xtina. (And I do actually listen to Michael Buble. He’s great dinner-prep music. *G*)
PEDAL pushers, Leslie??? Gee, for four decades, I’ve been thinking they were PETAL pushers. Like you wore them for working out in the yard. (We weren’t big bikers in my family. Then again, we weren’t big gardeners, either.) Thanks for the clarification. Wow, even at 45, I can still learn something new everyday.
Hope everyone enjoys Eliane if/when they check her out!
Liz, great choice. I love Eliane Elias. I go way back with her music. I adore Brazilian music. Her music has that 60’s Brazilian sound but fresh. Remember cassettes? I all her early tapes and her import/export ones too.
Liz, sounds like just the kind of music I like.
I’ll check her out in a little while when I head over to Borders. Thanks for the tip!
Hope your Sunday is beautiful and relaxing.
