Teresa Brings You Squawk Radio’s MOST ROMANTIC TV SHOW POLL!
Hmmmm - I’m really going to have to think about this one. Evil, Teresa, very evil to have put so many good shows in one poll
orannia
I’ve put my vote in Beauty and the Beast got mine I always loved that show.
Have Fun
Helen
Well, I voted for Dr. Quinn, because I thought that was the most “romantic”. Sully was such a hero for her and her family.
But if I could trade places with one of the heroines, I would play the part of Mrs. King. Oh, to kiss Bruce....mmmyumm!
Prudence,
Did you see Bruce on BABYLON 5? He did a great job as the second captain on that show.
I got that annoying “you already voted” message when I hadn’t, but count my vote for “Beauty & the Beast” with my runner-up vote doing to “Dr. Quinn.”
OOPS—that’s GOING to “Dr. Quinn.” I think I need more chocolate...!
Anybody else get really upset when, after following a romance for years on TV, the producers have a dreadful ending? I watched JAG faithfully for 8 years, only to have Harm and Mac’s relationship condensed to the last few minutes of the entire series. The producers knew for ages the show was ending, yet all we got was the last 10 minutes. The ending of Remington Steele could have been so much more and don’t even get me started on that last horrible, dreadful season of Beauty and the Beast. Such a beautiful story that totally denigrated into violence. It was sickening.
Yes, Ana Maria! When you said that, I remembered this really good Western show with Lee Horsley and Sigrid Thornton called PARADISE that my husband and I used to faithfully watch. They ended their romance by having her ride off into the sunset alone on the stagecoach and I hated it!
And I was going to say I’d like to be “Buffy” because then I could sleep with Angel, Riley and Spike but it made me feel so slutty.
Teresa, No, I never did watch that. If he was in it, it was good. I ashamed to say that I have never lived in a house with cable television. (We still have rabbit ears, basic 4 channels.)
That’s why I can’t comment on many shows, I’ve never seen them.
Oh, my hubby is a 24 addict. He’ll be watching tonight.
There are so many to choose from! I loved Bruce when he was in that Western TV show. Is that the one you are talking about? I must say he has only gotten better with age!
I voted for “Remington Steele” because I adore Pierce! I waxed nostalgic on each one before I voted and I have to say I remember being disappointed in the endings of just about all the shows.
Like Karen your poll always tells me I already voted :( I want to add my vote for Beauty and the Beast
How many times can I vote for farscape!
Teresa Medeiros said..."And I was going to say I’d like to be “Buffy” because then I could sleep with Angel, Riley and Spike but it made me feel so slutty.”
I’m sure everyone would agree that I deserve a freaking AWARD for refraining from saying ANYTHING here.
And I’m sure Connie is writhing on the floor somewhere to keep from typing a badly spelled but eloquent response.
ARGHHHHHH!
Hey, Connie wouldn’t call me sluty!
I love that at 1 vote, I am the 1% that voted for Providence! LOL!!
Can’t help it. It is one of my all-time favorite shows. I just wish they’d put the full series out on DVD! C’mon NBC!!! Pllllleeeeaaassssssssssseeeeeee!!!!!!!

So I did check with SPARKLIT about it not accepting people’s votes when they haven’t even voted yet and it said that they didn’t accept multiple votes from the same IP addy.
So maybe you guys are all living in the same house and you just don’t realize it?
Teresa, revealing the extent of her tech knowledge
I have to say I voted for Ed. I loved lots of the others and there was plenty of sexual tension and chemistry but the shows themselves were really about other things. Ed was all about boy wants girl/girl doesn’t want boy/girl wants boy/boy doesn’t want girl...oh you get the idea.
And he put on a suit of armor and walked into her class to tell her he loved her. How much more romance do you want?!
Beauty & the Beast....I’m also having voting problems and I’ve logged in and out at least 5 times. I could never understand poetry in High School or College but it took Vincent reading to Catherine for it all to finally click.
Hitting my head on my desk when I realized I forgot to nominate “The Guardian” as most romantic show. Simon Baker played a lawyer from a top drawer law firm found in possession of drugs and sentenced to do community service at an organization that represented children before the courts. IMHO, he is one of the things that makes Life on Earth Worth Living, and watching him pine for Lulu was OMG romantic. Those eyes were made for soulful looks, and for the first two seasons at least this show was romantic, gritty, smart, and both painful and glorious to watch. Also pluses were Dabney Coleman as his father and the theme song by Jakob Dylan. I miss the show.
I voted for Beauty and the Beast because it WAS so romantic. But gosh how I loved Moonlighting and Remington Steele. The sexual tension… mmmmm.
Teresa--I meant to post yesterday that I totally loved Babylon 5! Bruce was fantastic in the series. I about died when the moved it to the sci-fi channel and I didn’t have cable. *sigh* Life was never the same after that…
And yay, two other people are helping me to hold up that 1% for Providence! LOL!!!
Terrio--Funny enough, I never watched Ed, but the little bit of it that I did see struck me as it being a wonderfully romantic series. I’ll have to check out the full series. You give such great recommendations.

You forgot about ROSWELL!! The Romeo-Juliet of Max and Liz’ love!? How could you guys forget that show?
I had to vote for Dr. Quinn. Totally in love with Sully. Always wanted to give him a bath.
