TERESA’S MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR

Thank you, Lisa! I was kind of embarrassed when I realized I’d never grown out of my white-painted, gilded furniture/canopy bed phase.
And I didn’t even include my OTHER Barbies plus all of the castles, dragons and fairy tale Boyd’s bears.
I LOVE your office. I love the fact that you commandeered the LR and DR! It’s like it’s made of spun sugar and fantasy which is what I love about your books. And that print of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is gorgeous!
I still can’t see that picture of Russell Crowe showing off his assets. It must be on the opposite wall....
Oh Teresa, what a wonderful room! It’s exactly right for you. Don’t change a thing.
That B&B print is breathtaking. I’d never get anything done in there. I’d just spend the entire day gazing at that print.
Oh, and major points to the hubby for that bookcase. Outstanding!
Oooo, your house must be so much fun! I would feel like a Princess everday!
Teresa, your office is exactly how I would imagine it. Its sweet and beautiful, just like you!
Love your toys....especially the armour....
And I’m betting (unlike the armoire in MY office) that when you open the doors, stuff doesn’t fall out.....

The pics don’t do Terri’s office justice. It’s breathtaking, especially with lots of gorgeous sunlight streaming through the windows. (Said the woman who has only one window in her office, and its view is mostly obscured by a holly bush.)
But it’s a very nice holly bush, Liz!
Actually when we took down the curtains in my office to do some painting, it let in even MORE light so now I’m going to just put up some lacy valences or something.
It is a very beautiful office.
My dream is to be one of you famously talented women, a Romance Writer...But...I’d surely give up that dream for a chance to hear Captain Jack Sparrow say “Ye want me to do wot?”
Now that’s living!
I love your office. Thank you for sharing a piece of yourself with us!
everything sparkles. Like...it’s clean. What’s with that? How many times a day do you gently buff Jack Sparrow? And how many bottles of windex have gone into keeping “the beast’ crystal clear? And why is there a patch of print rubbed off of the Russell Crowe poster right over his mouth?
Your office is wonderful. The best part being the Captain Jack Sparrow who speaks to your heart and other errogenous zones.
I too have a bit of Captain Jack in my bedroom. I have a black satin pillow on my cream velvet boudoir chair. I have it propped so I can see his swarthy (and oh so beautiful) face first thing in the morning and just before I turn out the light at night.
My husband doesn’t mind. I get to have my Johnny and he has Dolly Parton. (He claims it’s because she’s a nice person, but I think we all know what’s going on there)
Anyway, thank you for sharing a piece of yourself with us.
Theresa I LOVE your office. It’s so pretty! And it has a knight in it! And toys! Toys are a key fixture of any office, as my brother and I learned at an early age when we would visit my Dad at work and play with his Disney figurines.
Don’t be silly, guys! I let Captain Jack do all of the cleaning. Didn’t you see the Swiffer at the end of his sword?
It’s like living in a fairytale!

That’s what I like about your office. It’s just exactly like you:
girlish....with hormones.
Teresa....LOVE the Master and Commander poster and ‘bookcase’. Never thought of that idea but love it!! The armor is good too. Let’s hope the knight that it belonged to has outgrown it though. That was his armor when he was a page or squire, right?? lol

Oh I love it, I am totally in love with your office! Sorry Squawkers, if there was a prize for best writer office, Teresa would get my vote!
Aw, bookwormkim, that was the sweetest comment! I bet you could hear Christina gagging at your house
AnneriAilin, the great thing about the Master and Commander storage unit is that it has beaucoups of storage, including shelves on both sides! I know it’s cardboard and it won’t last forever but I love it! (And the pictures on it aren’t bad either
)
And naturally someone named “ladytink” would love my fairy tale theme!
Wow, a knight! That is really inspiring. Where did you find him? The Barbies made me chuckle. I have a Lucy and my DH has a GI Joe - Navy as a gunnersmate. The kids are always asking to play with it.
It’s a wonderful space!
Thanks for sharing.
Would you believe I found the knight at my local furniture store? The girl who worked there called me and said, “Have I ever got something for you!”
I LOVE the knight in shining armor. I need to get me one of those.
I just have to say all of these office have inspired me. Now I know why I’m not as motivated to write at home. My desk is almost totally bare (except my lovely laptop)! I have to get things in there. Fun stuff. Pretty stuff. I do have a giant movie poster from Robin Hood (Costner version) so that’s something but I think Russell needs to go up somewhere. And the mascot of my HS was a Crusader. I can’t see a suit of armor like that and not hear my old fight song...LOL!
Kim’s right. It suits you perfectly. Full of light and creativity and makes everyone smile. *g*
Teresa, I love when a house/office reflects the person. Not a designers taste..yours is so wonderful, it would be hard not to be creative in it!
Thanks for the peeks into the offices, it’s like visiting girlfriends rooms!
-I have a Jack Sparrow and Legolas poster up in my studio..you know, for , um, inspiration, yea, that’s it!!
Wow! What a room!
Sure beats my cubicle with my one and only cowboy picture.
Teresa, I just LOVE your office! Unfortunately I share my home office with my husband - enough said. If I could have an office of my own I would like to have one just like this - including the knight!
Very unique and I really like it

Sooo, that’s what the pile of goo on my carpet is. Whew, at least its not toxic waste from the train
I loooooooooooved it!!!
Alas, the Master and Commander set up reminded me of a few Star Wars/Darth Vader ones I’ve seen over the years that, *sniff*, I wanted, but never knew anyone to get them. :( LOL
Lois
bookwormkim, Usually a pile of goo on my office floor is a hairball. Occasionally with a cat still attached. Buffy has been shedding so much lately that I’ve been thinking of gathering up all of the little “tumbleweeds” to see if I can make another cat.
Ah, SuzyQ, I admire you for sharing an office with your husband. My writer friends Lori and Tony Karayianni (Tori Carrington) actually write on separate desktop computers facing each other. That’s a lot of togetherness!
Loved your office. Especially the Russell Crowe bookcase. I have a large framed Gladiator poster in my livingroom which will some day go into my very own office. Keep up the good work. Love your books, too.
Thank you fflewddurfflam! (Okay, that was a mouthful! I’m dying to know what it stands for.)
I LOVE your office, Teresa! I can relate because my bedroom still kinda looks like it belongs to a teenaged girl too.
That “Beauty & the Beast” print is GORGEOUS.
Fun, imaginative, feminine--that’s what your office is, Teresa. It seems perfect for you. And I do love your knight.
I have to say I really like your knight, and your border print is so beautiful. What a happy and serene office you have! I finally just saw “Master and Commander”, and I have to say Russell Crowe looked might fine!
Now when you say you are hard at work writing we can picture you at your desk; working not playing with your Jack Sparrow doll!
A theme park! I LOVE IT!!! Whimsical and very cool! Just like you, right?
A high-five to your husband for a bookcase. You would need to find glass-fronted cabinet to preserve it.
What a fascinating room! The furniture is terrific and if it’s something that you did yourself, wow! Kudo’s to you… and further Kudos to your real “Knight in Shining Armor” for rescuing the bookshelves. That’s such a wonderful, thoughtful thing for him to do; definitely a hero.
And I think the fact that you have so much *child* in your space says a lot about you and how you write...with a sense of fun and wonder. Awesome!
Teresa you were obviously meant to be a fairy tale princess. I love the room.
Thanks so much to all of you! Princess was definitely #1 on my list of aspirations, right before Academy award winning actress and secret agent.
Secret agent. I think you’ve finally hit on your true calling.
Your office is like DisneyWorld! I love it!
