You’re right, Dino rocks!  Love the room and, if I close my eyes, can picture stuff piled everywhere.  Wait.  That’s my place I see....never mind.

Love the color.  Passion, huh?  Note to self: lose the Eggshell…

Oh, I love the Passion paint too!! And your flowery carpet!

After seeing yours and everyone else’s office, I realize I need more toys in mine.

Liz, love that color!  I’m very into color these days.  I’ll have to share pictures of my guest bathrooms with you sometime.

Like Santa said, Dino rocks!  He can croon to me anytime.

Oh, it would be almost as much fun to have Dino crooning at me as Captain Jack!

And I have to share, guys.  Yes, I have had the extreme honor of SLEEPING ON THE FUTON IN LIZ’S OFFICE!!!  So where’s the plaque that says, “Teresa Medeiros Slept Here”, Liz?  Huh, HUH???

It’s girly!! Very cute and all those toys add that extra je ne sais quoi. I can’t believe you have a whole bookcase dedicated to your TBR pile. How wonderful is that?

Santa and PJ, I adore color.  We don’t have a room in this house that could be called “neutral.” We even have a purple bedroom.  (But it’s a nice, tasteful purple. *G*) And another nice thing about Dino is that he scares the !@#$ outta the kitten, who loves to wreak havoc on my desk otherwise.

Lisa!  How do you work without TOYS?  The mind boggles…

Lilyfleur, I’m such a bookaholic, and then there’s all those freebies we get at RWA National.  I have TBR stuff all over the house!

Oh, how funny.  My code word is “own28.” No, it’s more like 2800.

Thanks, Tina!  Like I said, though, it won’t stay this way for long.  wink

As for that plaque, Terri, I, um, took it out to be polished.  Yeah, that’s it…

Great blog topic!  Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous without the annoying accent.... I’m really impressed that you are each willing to share your inner sanctum with us....my den is the only room I sometimes close the door to when giving house tours....and good honest clutter is not the only reason.

Isn’t it fun to peek at someone else’s house?  And of course, the study/den/office is the best room - because that’s where you actually LIVE....and keep your best toys. (One could argue that the rest of the house is inhabited or heavily influenced by the rest of the family....and/or the need to have at least one room ‘sittable’ in case of unexpected mother-in-law visits).

No decorator in the world would endorse my den choices, but that room screams “ME”.  (And includes at least 500 of my TBR, piled haphazardly sideways on the fronts of bookshelves, should I need a break from ‘working’.) I love that your office includes your TBR.... And you have Great Toys.

I love your office! Can you say fun?! The color is awesome and you can tell the whole room is devoted to your personality. I love Dino too.

Liz,
It is good to see Dino.  I am a member of that chapter.  I’ll have to let the girls know about Dino’s place of honor and the guard duty he is pulling smile
Interesting that you and Eloisa have rooms that appear to be the same color.  I have yet to talk my DH into being so bold.
Thanks for sharing your space.

I love the color too.  And since Dino is from my hometown (went to HS with my Nanny) I have to say I want one of those dolls!

You really have all inspired me to spruce up my desk and make it more fun.  How could you not be creative with an office like these?!

Liz, I’m on a color jag too, no more white walls! I think that has a lot to do with the military life, though. If you do something to a house, you usually have to un-do it when you leave..but we are here to stay, I think, so the paint has been going! (I’m a girly-girl too!)

-I so agree with the whole neat thing. I’m my biggest problem, leaving projects, sketch books, books, mags, blah blah in a trail like Hansel and Gretel. It’s fine with me, but I’m married to a neat-nik..*sigh*

Liz, you little mystery.  Who know what a girly-girly you are.  I love your space.  It looks comfortable, inspiring, and as if it waits with bated breath for you to show up each day and tell it a story.

And you’re right, Dean does rock (as does the color).  Who doesn’t love a Martin and Lewis movie, and that croonin’ babe.  Ooooh yeah.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one with a toy obsession.  Hagrid guards my back with his dragon Norbert, Minnie mMuse cheers me on, my frogs whisper sweet nothings in my ears, and my elephants reminds me to stop and remember when . . .

Way too cool Liz.  Do you have musical notes and rock band posters too?  I’m sorry to say that all my walls are neutral.  But I’m about to change that soon!  Promise!

terrio, are you from Steubenville?

MJ(2), our family room is by far the most used here, too.  Our living and dining rooms are always nice and neat, because we’re never in them.

Come visit, Connie, then Dino will croon to you, too!

Sarah, I LOVE my Mac.  I’ll never go back to PCs.  Heh heh.

J Perry Stone said..."i just love the way you think, Liz.”

Now there’s a scary thought, J.  LOL

Momofsix, I LOVE my Dino.  Tell everyone up there I said thank you again.  He’s great company.

Deborah, I have a lingerie fetish, too.  wink

No rock paraphernalia, Prudence, but if you look hard, you can see my iPod charging behind my Mac.

Yeah, SuzyQ!  Let’s hear it for the purple bedroom club!

You know, I honestly never realized how many toys I have in here until doing this blog.  And there are more I didn’t photograph--plush and such on the futon.  Hmmm…

Thanks for all the nice words, everybody!  Good to know I’m not the only slob around here, too.

Great to see your TBR bookshelf and a pile o’ magazines on the floor for inspiration. That’s what my piles of junk in my office is: Inspiration. smile

Loved the color on the walls and the colors of various toys. It’s great to see that juxtaposition of your professional writer-at-work side with the playful side.

Ooooh… what lovely bookshelves… filled with BOOKs! I’m going through serious furniture envy here!

Your room has so much personality; it’s easy to see that it’s created with the same sense of genius as your books… Wonderful look into your behind-the-book life.
