SQUAWK WEEKLY UPDATE
You guys are great. We’ve already made a few changes and discovered a few Squawk Radio blog tricks we didn’t even know existed, all thanks to your wonderful input.
1> You may notice there are now new categories on the left side bar (aka The Coop) and better yet, we actually started to put the various blogs in the right place. If you want to find out what any squawker is doing this week, simply check out HAPPENINGS AT THE HENHOUSE, to view the weekly blog update.
2> If you start looking through the blogs, you’ll note they can rather go on forever and scrolling through a bunch of blogs when you know what you’re looking for can be tedious. Use the SEARCH function! For example, say you want to read every post every written that includes the name Connie in the title (hey! I’m writing the update and it’s my fantasy so we’re all going to go with it, okay? Okay.) Just type in Connie Brockway and sha-bam! A neat grid of blogs come up, which include the first few sentences of each. To read the entire blog, just click on it. And should you want to read every blog written by Connie Brockway in October, just go the advanced search function where you can search by title or author. You can also search in advance mode by category. We’ll be adding a little reminder of how easy it is to use this function a bit later but it’s here now!
3> Don’t want to be notified every-time you make a comment on a blog? If you’re a member of Squawk Radio, you don’t ever have to uncheck that box again! Just go to the left hand side bar and under MEMBERS click ”member list.” You may have to log in. Now on the top bar next to your name you’ll see a heading called “Your Control Panel.” Open this and under the lefthand MENU is ”Personal Settings.” Click on ”Email settings.” You’ll see a bunch of settings checked on the right hand side. UNCHECK “Enable email notifications by default when you post messages.“ And never again will you be notified via email of someone responding to your comment. Yet another reason to become a Squawk Radio member!
That’s what’s available right now. You’ll notice other changes occuring throughout the next week. So watch for them!
CONNIE is hard at work polishing her second contemporary book, SKINNY-DIPPING, making very cool updates to her websites at www.conniebrockway.com so please take a peek later in the week at the really fabu new feature (Thanks, Molly!) and preparing for two weeks of jury duty starting in February (I’m watching lots of CSI.)
And changing her avatar.
CHRISTINA received her first copy of TONGUE IN CHIC hot off the presses! So many of you have asked, so I’ll admit it - yes, that is my back on the cover, in an Azzaro gown taken on the red carpet at the Golden Globes.
TERESA would like to apologize to anyone who yearned to e-mail her through her CONTACT TERESA page at http://www.teresamedeiros.com only to realize that the link to her e-mail address had disappeared. So if you have a burning need to tell her how wonderful she is, how marvelous her books are, how incredibly fluffy her hair is, etc., you can now e-mail her through the website again. Since the link has been missing for a month without her even realizing it, she was starting to feel terribly unloved. (Oh and Connie stole the idea for making a new avatar from Teresa who stole it from Liz!)
